What is Conscious Evolution? How is Consciousness Created? Where Does Consciousness Come From?
- What is conscious evolution?
- How is consciousness created?
- Where does consciousness come from?
“Desire and intent existed before there was any physical matter in existence. Physical reality came from a dream. Then there was a more recent process of conscious evolution that formed the kind of perception we have now.” —William Eastwood
In my early experiments beyond the Zero Point Field I learned that the origin of physical dimensions is known, but the origin of the consciousness that birthed the physical dimensions is not known.
All that exists is being created now. There is no past origin of consciousness.
All Time Is Now
The origin of consciousness is not in the past, but speaking in time terms, the source of consciousness is not known. Consciousness has always existed. Nothing exists outside of it. Nothing else is known or ever was known, but only that there “was” a consciousness that birthed the consciousness that is everything that exists in our known multiverse and field of probabilities. There is no nonliving matter anywhere in existence because everything that exists is composed of consciousness, some basic (and in trance) and some like you and me.
Consciousness originally contained knowledge of all possibilities within itself. You and I existed in those terms, but not physically.
The one original consciousness existed before physical worlds existed. The one consciousness contained all possibilities as its own imaginings. These entities grew into beings in their own right but still were confined to the consciousness in which they existed.
The One Consciousness strained to find a way to give individuality to its imaginings or protege. The pain of knowing all possibilities but having no way to give them life without giving part of itself up became unbearable. Finally, a way was found to create individuality within unity. In an explosive release, its protege was released and the physical dimensions were formed by means of holographic projection into what may be called “individuality within unity.”
Individuality is real. You are an individual and will exist for eternity but you are also connected to all other consciousness and are an equal “portion” of it.
The physical world is a hologram composed of living consciousness. You manage and direct your own holographic projection from a power center within you. You possess an Inner Ego below the subconscious. Your Inner Self is the portion of you connected with the rest of Consciousness. You are your inner self. As a soul you are a portion of the Divine Consciousness.
Developing self-consciousness
Five thousand years ago the race made the decision to develop self-consciousness, evolving beyond the animals. This involved stepping apart from the rest of nature by developing a self-consciousness that sees itself as separated from nature and others.
Characteristics of our consciousness were originally and equal blend of what we now think of as being male and female characteristics. This equality was abandoned in a plan by the race to separate from inner knowledge and forget our origin in order to create a dimension in which we are born into forgetting.
This amnesia provides the basis of “ego-type” consciousness. The sense of individuality and separateness gives this dimension its unique characteristics. We imagine that everything is separate from everything else.
The temporary manipulation of psychological characteristics allowed separation to occur over a period of several thousand or more years.
The characteristics assigned to the male were those that would enable us to achieve the goal of separation that created the sense of individuality we have now. I call this perception of an individual self, “ego-type consciousness”. This development corresponds with the birth of choice or a consciousness distinctly different than that of the animals.
The so-called “male” qualities would help in the manipulation of matter, eventually spurring the industrial revolution and the development of technology. These can be called the thrusting-out aspects because they tend to direct psychological energy outward.
A division was made and the outward thrusting characteristics became associated with the male sex as a new cultural norm, and the connective qualities were retained by the female in terms of cultural customs and norms.
Again, the characteristics that would help civilization to step apart from nature, and inner knowledge became associated with the male sex. These characteristics, when isolated and focused on would serve ego development, strengthening a new kind of consciousness.
To reiterate, to achieve separation and the development of the type of ego consciousness we now take for granted, psychological traits and inclinations were divided between the male and female sex.
All of the outward thrusting characteristics of consciousness that would ensure separation and development of ego consciousness were assigned to the male and were given prominence. All the inward focused characteristics that would prevent separation and the development of ego consciousness were assigned to the female sex and were degraded in cultural terms to aid in separation.
For a time, the so-called male qualities would dominate over and suppress the female qualities. This divided condition had many unfotunate side-effects.
Because half of the psyche’s characteristics were assigned to the male, and the other half to the female, each sex expressed approximately only half of their natural potential in psychological terms.
These side-effects would be temporary, and the overall result would be positive in the long run—a secure individuality and the birth of the modern ego self.
The exaggerated and isolated “male” characteristics were projected onto a new male god that would serve as an archetype to emulate. That was the directive during separation.
In tribal civilizations the male dominated physically and psychologically. In affairs of the state, in religion, in social life, and in the home, males dominated. At the same time these males suppressed those traits embodied by the female. The female took a subservient role in sexuality, in political and social functions, in affairs of church and state, and in the home. Compassion and love, a connection with nature, creativity, childbirth and intuition, are associated with the female. The nighttime or moon, the subconscious, dreams, sensitivity, nature, nature practices and nature worship were assigned a feminine connotation.
The proliferation of violent male gods occurring during separation reflected the trend of male cruelty, conquest and domination that would last for thousands of years.
Non-male dominated civilization gave way to male religions about five thousand years ago when separation began. Male characteristic dominated societies sought to exert their perceived superiority and began to dominate others.
This marks the beginning of classic civilization and its defining male orientation overtaking much of the globe. Violence and organized war define civilization from about 2000-3000 BC to the present.

“In a time context, it seems that physical dimensions of reality are only a “recent” development. We all tend to forget where we came from after being born. This supports the premise that consciousness is in a process of objectifying. From our perspective in time the process of objectifying is conscious evolution.” —William Eastwood
What is conscious evolution?
Again, from about 12,000 years ago to 2,000 years ago humans developed ego consciousness and a narrowed focus in physical reality. Before that time humans saw more, and identity was greater.
With individuality came greater competition, cruelty and warring tribes — history as we know it to be. But humans are not naturally this cruel, nor does evolution exist in the way we think it does.
The competition and wars are due to concentrated “male” characteristics of consciousness that in reality do not belong to one sex just as the so-called female characteristics do not belong to the female sex. The division is artificial and temporary and must be resolved for humanity to survive. All psychological traits must merge again. When this happens we will no longer be divided beings. Each individual will express his total and complete range of psychological characteristics like a child tends to do prior to about age 13 when psychological characteristics are divided according to sex following cultural directives that initiated separation that must be done away with.
It is important that we become aware of our true nature. Doing so will bring an end to the divisiveness and cruelty in the world.
Human conscious evolution is a recent process of developing self-consciousness. This distinguishes us from the rest of life on earth but does not make us superior, just different.
Back before the development of ego consciousness we were basically freewheeling spiritual consciousness that could dip in and out of the physical system before we learned to perceive as we do now. Ego consciousness is new.
Primitive people perceived the spirit in everything. Ego consciousness implies perception of an individual self. It is your idea of yourself. Animals lack this form of self-consciousness. The human race had to develop it, and doing so required time. The ego development was planned and required that we severed inner awareness and created an outward, physically focused perception.
Humans would also go through thousands of years of tribalism and violence as a result of being cut off partial expressions of consciousness.
Rather than continue to rely on instinct or inner knowledge, humans developed choice. We developed a focus through the brain that allowed us to conceptualize actions in a time context and to make choices based on using our imagination to project forward in time. A person could remember past seasons and plant a seed in the spring because he could foresee a future in which the plant grew to provide food for the community. He could imagine the future.
His actions were no longer ruled by instinct or biological directives and programming. He stepped outside of all of that.
He/She could achieve more because his decision-making ability allowed him to use strategy and plan for the future in a way that worked to his advantage.
Ramifications
As a result of our “male” orientation, over the past 5000 years we have successfully evolved a new type of self-awareness and ego consciousness. However, we have overdone the process and as a result ego, or male consciousness is cut off from his inner intuition and sensitivities. This produces unnatural behavior as males often express cruel and insensitive tendencies.
Our climate situation is dire as a result. But that is far from all the problems produced by unnatural male ego dominance. Male nationalistic tribes and patriarchal systems have produced excessive cruelty, violence and other problems.
When the male psyche is deprived of a whole set of what we call feminine emotions, the void left by their absence is filled by a far less pleasing set of emotions.
Many males in our society are unable to feel much or any love, and this happens because of cultural directives rather than anything natural. We end up with raging emotions, much more negative attitudes later in life, hostilities and conflicts.
The male psyche can be tormented if the artificial psychological differences between the sexes are carried to an extreme, as we see happening in politics in in the world today.
